Cranberry and orange cornbread

Orange zest can completely change the taste of the dish, even in small quantities. I even venture to say that it wins with a lemon zest.
I am about to bake a bread for some time now, since this is a serious matter and worth thinking about (read: I need to grown up to it). As a person in love with a simple solutions, I decided to cheat a little bit and do a cornbread - a banana bread USA. Preparation is trivial, so as the first approach to the subject of bread it was a great choice.
You will need:
- 1 1/2 cups cornmeal
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1 tbsp sugar
- zest of 1 orange
- 1 cup dried cranberries
- 1 egg
- 3/4 cup milk
- 3 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 tbsp butter, melted
Preheat oven to 180 * C. Combine all the ingredients in a bowl. A dough may be a bit lumpy, but it’s not a problem. Transport the mix into a greased form. Bake for 20 minutes. Bread is best when still warm, and certainly when fresh.
Enjoy, Marta
