I have a table! It makes me so happy, but it’s not the only reason - tomorrow I’m starting my vacations :) I can’t wait for delicious sea food, warm water, sand under my feet, sunsets, sunrises and many more.

On pictures you can see the top of my new table (the only furniture in my apartment) and I must say it wasn’t easy to transport it here. I bought it on a flea market 3 blocks away from my apartment and I asked very tired from a previous night friends to help me to carry it. Also I live on a 3rd floor, so I was very, very grateful. After 20 minutes of “action”, I had my table in my apartment and they got ice creams.

It was so tempting to take pictures on this amazing furniture. I don’t have a fridge and I’m leaving for Sardinia tomorrow, so it had to be something easy and not demanding too many ingredients. What can be easier than scrambled eggs. We still have chanterelles on a market, so I fried it with a chopped onion, toasted ciabatta on a butter and made a perfect sandwich.

You will need (for 1):

  • 1 small onion
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup chanterelles
  • 1 ciabatta
  • chive
  • butter
  • salt and pepper

Wash chanterelles well and cut into small pieces. On a frying pan melt the butter, glaze the onion and add chanterelles. Put it on a side. You can prepare toasts in a toaster or on a frying pan with 1 spoon of butter. Then scramble your eggs as you like it. The nice way of doing it is to fry them till they’re still a bit wet and put the pan on a side. It will come to a perfect consistence within 5 minutes.

The only thing left is to form a sandwich :)

Enjoy, Marta
