One week ago I kept complaining about a lack of snow. You should look outside my window today, it’s totally white and it keeps coming. What scares me is that I like to play in snow too much, and it’s hard to concentrate on what’s important. And there’s plenty to do. I need to pack, think of the way of saying goodbye to Rysiek and make a list of must see/go/do places in San Francisco. Thank you so much for all your tips. I write everything down and can’t wait to check them out.

What is the best possible breakfast option? I would say breakfast with friends. Especially when you miss them so much every day. It also helps when they like what you’ve prepared (it makes my heart sing).

Do you remember me writing that I’ll have a break from work and traveling for a while? So I’m in Warsaw! It’s my home city and I love it. If you’ll ever have a chance to visit Warsaw, just do it. The best part of it is that I’ll be staying with the sweetest polish gal and this time Mr T is with me :) Have a lovely weekend everyone!

The contents of my kitchen is buried in boxes, matting, carefully described and I’m not going to unpack it, unless it’s in Berlin ( it took me three days to hide the apartment into boxes). The only things left were blender, a plate and a knife. We had to eat something, so Ive started to think about something easy and fun, and I reminded myself about a recipe for pesto from Agata’s blog, which does not require too many dishes and equipments. Anne, who helped us to sort clothes, mostly by laughing at them (so far I had no heart to get rid of my jacket purchased 3 years ago in China or shirt from Bolivia), accepted we’ve started the preparations. Ok, it sounds like a big cooking. The whole truth is that one was standing in front of the blender, and the other was watching the first one.

Naleśniki z pesto

I should reduce sweet breakfasts that I love so much. I can’t do it for long, that’s for sure, but I can at least start. Today I had an amazing pesto crepes by Nigella Lawson. It’s a quick one and you can fry them in the evening and just reheat in the morning.

baked eggs with ham, onion and pesto on crepe

When I think about crepes I can smell strawberries, white sweet cheese and maple syrup. But apparently you can eat it sour as well…

I’ve decided to try this out and I must say an effect was delicious. Crepes with ham, pesto, egg and fried onion made my day. And you know what’s the best part? I had it for breakfast, so my whole day will be just the best.

tomato pesto crostata

It may look a bit difficult, but to be honest - could not be easier. You can prepare dough in the evening and just roll it in the morning, add the filling and bake it. You will be surprised how tasty it is, especially that pesto and tomato juice sink in the cake. Yummy yummy!
