I had to make my taxes in 3 countries this year, don’t ask me why/how/WTF, I can’t even say a word “taxes” anymore. I just hope that it’s all good. This forbidden word equals stress in my case. When I stress out, I eat sweets, but not any sweets, I eat super extra good sweets.

I’m not crazy for kitchen gadgets. I usually don’t have them. I got my first kitchen mixer one year ago, so not too fast. But there are things I really want to have, like Chemex (I love it) or an iron pan. After a long time of wanting (I told you, I’m not too fast) I got my first iron pan. It is heavy, perfect for two and very pretty. I went through hundreds of recipes and finally I ended up on Donna Hay’s site. I found this amazing recipe including mozzarella, mushrooms, rosemary and the iron pan.

When I was a little girl I used to beg my mother for scrambled eggs. I could eat it each day but there was one rule. It had to be just eggs, nothing more, maybe except for salt. When I was a teenagar my older sister used to feed me with eggs combined with each possible vegetable that was in the kitchen. I did not love it but I liked it.

I asked a friend what would be the “San Francisco breakfast” in her opinion. She said that it seems that a city got crazy about a cinnamon toasts lately. I was a bit surprised.

One week ago I kept complaining about a lack of snow. You should look outside my window today, it’s totally white and it keeps coming. What scares me is that I like to play in snow too much, and it’s hard to concentrate on what’s important. And there’s plenty to do. I need to pack, think of the way of saying goodbye to Rysiek and make a list of must see/go/do places in San Francisco. Thank you so much for all your tips. I write everything down and can’t wait to check them out.

My dear friends, do you miss summer (at least ones from Europe)? I do. I went for a walk yesterday, a long cold walk. It was beautiful of course, but when I’ve came back home, I had to heat some wine with cloves and spices to warm myself up. I’ve automatically started to think about all this times when I wanted to wander around the city during the hot days but kept postponing it. Yesterday I’ve decided not to do it anymore and whenever I’ll be in need for a walk, I do it. At least this is what I’m thinking today ;)

A friend told me once that avocado is a natural butter and he could not imagine a breakfast without it. It was in Australia and we were aware of one market where during a magical hour you could get almost every kind of fruit or vegetable for A$1/1kg. Happy days! Nowadays I have to pay a bit more, but who’s complaining :)

It is a perfect Sunday breakfast when the weather is perfect (just like today) and you don’t feel like spending too much time at home. That’s why today’s post will be very fast. Sorry for not writing too much. I’ll do it next time :) Have a lovely Sunday everyone!

Do you have these days from time to time, when you prepare a breakfast while your partner walks around you and asks each 5 seconds if he can eat it already? Well, I had a morning like this today and I have to admit that I wasn’t surprised. Figs were so ripe and delicious that I ate few pieces while I was making the sandwiches ;) The recipe is very simple, fast and worth trying out. Take an advantage of fresh figs in stores and crunch something sweet in the morning!
