I love simple and effective recipes. What do I mean? I like when it’s easy to make, doesn’t contain too many ingredients, is delicious and looks good (my eyes like to eat as well). There is one additional element I use quite often while cooking - curiosity. I am curious about world. For the past 6 years I managed to visit many interesting and delicious places, usually Mr T. was somewhere around. There’s one thing you should know about him - he’s always hungry and I am not joking.

There are mornings so hectic that you don’t have time to make a breakfast or to eat it. There are mornings when you feel like something fast, so you grab a banana or an apple. If you know that next  morning will be just like it, this is what you can do. Make a smoothie that is full of vitamins the night before, refrigerate it and drink in a morning. It’s a nice replacement for an apple of yogurt. And despise arugula, it taste great. I’ve found this recipe on The New York Times website and I believe they know their stuff. Make it, try it, love it.

Can you feel spring? It’s officially here. I can feel it in my bones and sun helps to believe in what’s happening. I hope that for the next two months it will be warm and beautiful. It’s hard to work with birds singing outside, but a girl has to do what she has to do.

I was visiting Uncle Google and searching for information about the best way to moisturize the skin (after too many hours on a plane it needs water by injection) and I repeatedly came across tomato juice. Knowledge and health can not be ignored, so I’ve began to read.

When I was a little girl I used to beg my mother for scrambled eggs. I could eat it each day but there was one rule. It had to be just eggs, nothing more, maybe except for salt. When I was a teenagar my older sister used to feed me with eggs combined with each possible vegetable that was in the kitchen. I did not love it but I liked it.

I promise that this recipe will end the “not really a breakfast” posts. But to be honest I had this salad for breakfast and it was amazing. As I’ve mentioned many times, I am a sweet tooth and a combination of a pear and a blue cheese made me very happy. You know how it is, when you have a great breakfast and it makes you feel good, most probably you’ll stay like this for the rest of the day.

It was a bit too quiet over here lately. I’m really sorry for this. The fact is that one month ago I came to San Francisco and got swallowed by a city. During the first weeks I got so excited that I’ve decided to taste as many local goodies as possible. I ate a lot and definitely too often and I do not regret anything. The only disadvantage is that I did not cook as much as I’d like.

Hugs from San Francisco! I don’t have to asure you that I’m already in love with this city, do I? I can’t get enough of little streats, trams, beautiful architecture, cafes and people. I eat definitely too much as there’s too many delicious little places to visit. Each day I discover something new and beautiful. The only thing that saves me is walking around, and in San Francisco it’s mostly up hill, hahaha.

I’ve started to attend Bikram Yoga sessions again. I wasn’t planning on doing it, not at all I must say. You ask why? I did it 2 years ago for a month and each time (I was there over 20 times) I thought I was dying.

One week ago I kept complaining about a lack of snow. You should look outside my window today, it’s totally white and it keeps coming. What scares me is that I like to play in snow too much, and it’s hard to concentrate on what’s important. And there’s plenty to do. I need to pack, think of the way of saying goodbye to Rysiek and make a list of must see/go/do places in San Francisco. Thank you so much for all your tips. I write everything down and can’t wait to check them out.
