Autumn Fruits Crisp

For me this Sunday is a very important one. Because due to what my doctor and internet says it’s the last Sunday in my life that I’ll spend only with Tomasz.

Sunday, Sunday! For some people it’s a perfect day to rest and relax, others feel a pressure of Monday already, but for me and Tomasz it’s a day for cooking with friends from Freunde von Freunden. It’s the 4th and last recipe, so don’t miss it out 🙂 This time we prepared autumn fruits crisp. You can still find plums in stores so take advantage of it. You can also check out the whole series we made together over here.

For me this Sunday is a very important one. Because due to what my doctor and internet says it’s the last Sunday in my life that I’ll spend only with Tomasz. Gosh I do love our time together whatever we do. It’s always so special, even when we argue over all unimportant things (mostly because then you have to make up for it) or just go for a morning coffee and read different magazines, not even looking on each other. It was our time and it will change soon. Sorry for me freaking out over here but well, this is my favourite place in Internet and you are my favourite people in Internet, so who should I share it with if not with you.

Life changes and it’s beautiful, I personally love changes so much that I move around the world quite often. But this change will stay with me for always, like the rest of my life. And for now it’s extremely difficult to understand it or imagine it, believe me I’m trying. So what will I do? I’ll wake up my boy and tell him to go for coffee with me, because we still can do it, just two of us.

You will need for fruits mix:

  • 1 apple
  • 1 pear
  • 8 plums
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp flour
  • ¼ tsp cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp nutmeg
  • 2 tbsp coconut flakes
  • 2 tbsp dried cranberries

For crisp:

  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup oats
  • ½ cup flour
  • pinch of salt
  • 3 tbsp sliced almonds

For serving:

  • natural yogurt

Heat your oven to 200*C.

Cut apple, pear and plums in small cubes (remove nests but don’t peal them). Place everything in a bowl and add sugar, flour, spices. Mix all the ingredients well and place it into a baking dish. Spread coconut flakes and cranberries over it.

Melt butter and mix in sugar, oats, flour, salt and almonds. Place it on a top of fruits in a baking dish.

Cover the dish with a baking silver and bake for 20 minutes, then remove the silver and bake for another 20 minutes.

Serve with thick natural yoghurt and a bit of cinnamon on top.

Enjoy, Marta

Oh, Marta. I know I’m late with this comment, but I just want to say how much this touched me and what a sweet post it is. Your posts about Mia and Tomasz these last few weeks and months really have brought tears to my eyes on more than one occasion — I think about what it will be like for us and can just imagine feeling all these same emotions. I’m glad that someday I’ll have this posts to comfort me! 🙂 Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts — I know that this new era will bring all new kinds of comfort and joy, even if it’s not the same as it used to be.

Marta first of all thanks all the way from Hungary 🙂 I’m baking this now . I skipped the plums and cranberries and my question is what do u mean by baking silver ? You mean aluminum foil ? I covered it with foil for 20 min and now removed it and I’m waiting to see if it will look like yours in the next twenty min
