Purchase of a bagle may seem simple and in fact is, but I approached it as a challenge. In Amsterdam we have quite a few brilliant bakeries and I’ve decided to visit most of them. There were no baggels. I’ve started to ask myself where are all the bagels? The answer was easy – in Bagels & Beens, that I passed a couple of times.

I got two, still warm, and I made a tasty sandwich with a cream cheese, onions, roasted tomatoes and rucola. It was definitely worth an effort.

    Delicious photos. Bagels are difficult to get here. I’ve seen them being made on a couple of food shows. One day, I hope to gather enough courage to bake some of my own.
