Blogging is still fun.
Pregnant woman doesn’t understand what mothers mean by repeating constantly “you should sleep and enjoy your free time as much as possible” till she’s a mother and it’s too late. Not complaining here, Mia is a sweet little girl, but waking up each 3 hours to feed her isn’t something I’m used to (yet). Days pass and I can’t imagine my life without her. She’s the sweetest little girl with beautiful eyes, few hair and a killer smile. Today I showed her a drawing of panda and she made the most surprised expression ever (born to be a star). Yes this is what occupies me lately – learning my daughter millimetre by millimetre.
But I manage to do other things as well – I’ve started a hat and most probably will finish it next year, the same with this super interesting book I’m reading. But what I’ve managed to finish was banana bread. It’s buckwheat and tastes awesome! I baked it at night when Mia was sleeping and in the morning just aded cream cheese, fruits and a rice syrup. It is awesome like it. You can fry it on a bit of butter or coconut oil – wow! Banana bread is most probably the easiest cake ever and you can make a healthier version of it, so why not.
Taking pictures was so fast that I have no idea how and when I made them. And the whole styling was a mess on my table, literally. But it’s still working for me. Blogging is fun.
You will need:
- 4 smashed bananas
- 140g melted butter or coconut oil
- 1/3 cup rice sirup
- 1 & ½ cup buckwheat flour
- 1 egg, lightly beaten
- 1 tsp baking soda
- pinch of salt
To serve with:
- cream cheese
- fruits
- rice syrup
Mix all the ingredients in a bowl. Grease baking form with butter or coconut oil and heat your oven to 175*C. Place dough in a form and bake for about 45 minutes – 1 hour.
Serve with cream cheese, fruits and rice syrup.
Enjoy, Marta
So beautiful Marta! Your images are always breathe taking! x
Beautiful! Buckwheat adds such a lovely flavor to baked goods, I can’t wait to try this 🙂
This looks amazing! You are so creative and always make the most beautiful food.
You, sweet lady, have the talent to create posts that I fall in love with every time and recipes that I never can wait to make myself. This banana bread looks ah-mazing.
Should you not publish a new post before the holidays, I’m wishing you three a wonderful Christmas! xx
Congratulations on Mia and your genuine expressions of your new emotions. Precious, as are your photographs and banana bread, despite your newfound preoccupation. You are an artist.
So gorgeous, banana bread has never looked better. I’m truly amazed that you’re already blogging again!
Pinning this one for sure! and ummm I beg to differ? You call this a mess?!!!! If only I could be as talented as you…seriously. ^_^ And yes, some things are totally like, “what does that meannnnn?!!!” until we experience them ourselves as mommies. It may seem rather daunting sometimes to change everything around your little babe, albeit a joyful challenge, but before we know it all of that craziness dies down a bit–like seriously praise the Lord, hahaha. Keep having fun with baby Mia and we’ll be here awaiting your posts when you’re ready!
Lovely stuff — this looks terrific. And the pictures, as always, are superb. I’m taking off the rest of the year, so want to wish you Happy Holidays!

Oh my goodness, this banana bread! Mess? These photos are pure art, and that fruit on top is a masterpiece. You’re a wonder woman, Marta. Hope you, Mia and Tomasz are doing wonderfully <3
I love the idea of sandwiching creamy cottage cheese between 2 banana bread slices…. Bon app!
OMG! Luv it! Have to bake it tomorrow night, cos tonite will try to catch some sleep before my 3months old little one is waking up with milk munchies! I wish ur little family all the best – never planned or thought of having a baby and now that she is here, smelling so adorable – I can hardly imagine live before our day x.
We had a really tough time breastfeeding in the begining – but now – we just go with the flow, sometimes every 3rd hour – sometimes – as right now, every 20minutes ( but yeaaaah – that’s only between 2:00am and 9:00am )
When the dad is@home – I’m just running off into the kitchen to bake or prepare something really yummy. Funny enough it is almost as good as sleeping =)
Have a laid back puerperal, filled with love! Take ur time and stay more and longer in bed than u think is neccessary and enjoy this very very precious time.
Merry – almost – christmas. Will sneak into bed and smell that sweet baby head until I fall asleep <3
yum this looks amazing
