Bullys Bakery is just around the corner, but my path led around Neukoln so unfortunately, that I was blind for two months. There’s a great ice cream place just next to it and I had a cone over there too many times to admit, but I have not seen this place. Finally T. suggested that we should go for a coffee one day. You don’t have to repeat this kind of ideas to me and the next morning we were sitting in Bullys Bakery.
If you were wondering about the name, it’s simple. Thanks a lovely creature hanging around the place.
As a big fan of breakfast I was courious what I could eat. There’s a selection of muffins, cakes and any other sweets for people with a sweet tooth, there is also something for vegetarians. What you should definitely taste is a vegetarian Flammkuchen with gorgonzola, pear and shredded red cabbage. If you prefer something lighter, I would recommend muesli with nuts, yogurt and blueberries.
Bullys Bakery is located in the heart of Neukoln and is steeped in the atmosphere of the area. Simple interior, chairs outside, so you can seet in a sun and an excellent coffee. You can also learn how to knead dough, step by step, as it’s paintedon walls.
Another good thing about the place is, that there’s a wifi (not that popular around Berlin’s cafes). I’ve been sitting there for a couple of last days with my laptop and a cup of coffee and I felt great. You will as well.
And I have a good news – I found an apartment, so I can breath again.
Bullys Bakery, Friedelstraße 7, Neukölln, Berlin

I think they close in the evening, it’s more a cafe than restaurant. And thank you 🙂 I’m so happy!
That wall of art is so neat .. loved it! Sounds like perfect place for weekend breakfast. And YAY on finding the appt 🙂
-
for a weekend or any other day as well
the chocolate muffins look perfect for tea! :)Latest: Where to Go for Raya?

I had one and it was perfect indeed
That bakery sounds fabulous! What a delicious way to start your day!
-
you should visit it whenever you’re in Berlin. Such a lovely place.

thank you!
So I hope Bully’s is close to your new apartment. And I love a cafe that puts art on the coffee. Makes it feel special. Went to a dessert bar in Charleston, SC here in the US while we were on vacation this weekend that I wish were around the corner from my home. Will write about it later in the week, hopefully.Sharon

unfortunately it’s not. But only 15 min by bike, so I can visit it from time to time 🙂
What a fantastic place, for breakfast, lunch, anything! I absolutely love the dough kneading drawings on the wall. Beautiful, bright, lovely blog you have here.

Thank you Jane!
This place looks adorable. I am going to Berlin for the first time in September with three girlfriends and would love some recommendations for places to eat. Cheap cafes for lunch, nice places for lunch or dinner, best coffee and breakfasts… any tips you have to offer would be appreciated!
-
Do you know in which are you’ll be staying? Berlin is very big and it would help with tips 🙂
Finding a new apartment must be really encouraging. Finding a nifty cafe with wifi nearly as good. 🙂
-
it is indeed. Now I can start a proper life in Berlin 🙂
Congrats on finding a new apartment! This cafe looks wonderful!
-
Thank you Asmita.
Congrats on finding an apartment! That must be a relief. This looks like a terrific place. I’ve never eaten a Flammkuchen, though I’ve certainly had plenty of pizza (although similar, there are important differences). Love the picture of Bully. Fun post – thanks.
-
It was my first Flammkuchen and I was surprised. I expected a pizza dough and it was different. And the mix of flavors – pearl, gorgonzola and red cabbage was great.
YAY! So glad you found a place 🙂 This cafe looks like a real gem, and with wifi, I know where I’d be too!
-
It is so difficult to find a nice place in Berlin and with wi-fi it’s ridicules. And thank you, I hope I’ll find some amazing places in my area as well 🙂
I love the paintings of how to roll dough on the wall. Any where that has wifi, wins me over. Most places charge a fortune to use the internet.
-
I totally agree with wifi and I like the paintings as well 🙂 I was sitting there for some time and found myself studying it step after step.
That looks like a wonderful bakery! Wonderful pastries and I love how they design the coffee! Congrats on finding a new apartment! : )
-
Thank you Anne.
Congratulations on the apartment! Wifi is a definite must. Nice find. Everything looks delicious!
-
Nowadays wifi should be everywhere. It would be so easy to have possibility to work from any place.
lovely post!<3http://ittakes2tofashion.bl…

thank you 🙂
Apartment hunting can be such a hassle. Those muffins look gorgeous–this seems like just the kind of cafe I’d like. Is that kind of like a breakfast pizza?
-
it is more delicate, something between a pizza dough and a french cake. The flavor was very interesting as well.
A twofer! Great news about an apartment and an adorable puppy picture 🙂
-
Thank you 🙂
What a great looking bakery and I love the photo of the dog!
-
It is so cute. Always comes to say hello 🙂 or for a piece of my food, but I know it likes me 😉
im so happy you found an apartment… may you build memories and fun times in that abode… good luck.
-
thank you Malou!
Glad you found an apartment. That bakery sounds like a wonderful to eat and hang out.
-
it is, unfortunately I’ll be moving to another area soon, but will come over from time to time. It’s only 15 min away by bike 🙂
Hurrah for the apartment!! I’m still upset that I had a wretched cold and couldn’t taste anything when I went to Germany in 2010. One day I’ll return and have gorgonzola for breakfast 😀
-
yeah! you should definitely come back. Berlin is amazing! And it changes all the time so most probably you won’t recognize it, hahaha.
Happy that you found an apartment! That bakery looks lovely but I looked it up and it’s 45 minutes from me. Yikes. Love the dog. 🙂
-
We should definitely meet for a coffee somewhere!
Tasty looking bakery!
-
and a nice place just to be in 🙂
wonderful bakery.. i love your photos. superb!
-
Thank you 🙂
This is a beautiful bakery – those muffins look so good. I’d love to find a place here that was decorated in the same fashion. Also, congrats on finding a new home!
-
Thank you Rooth. In Berlin this kind of interior is quite popular and I love it. In Amsterdam it was totally different.
I will, just need to furnish it as it’s totally empty. Show me yours as well 🙂

Love the atmosphere and design of this place!!! 🙂 I wonder how it looks at night! And congratulations on the place!! I know how life-threatening it feels when the timing cuts close!!!
