Bullys Bakery is just around the corner, but my path led around Neukoln so unfortunately, that I was blind for two months. There’s a great ice cream place just next to it and I had a cone over there too many times to admit, but I have not seen this place. Finally  T.  suggested that we should go for a coffee one day. You don’t have to repeat this kind of ideas to me and the next morning we were sitting in Bullys Bakery.

If you were wondering about the name, it’s simple. Thanks a lovely creature hanging around the place.

As a big fan of breakfast I was courious what I could eat. There’s a selection of muffins, cakes and any other sweets for people with a sweet tooth, there is also something for vegetarians. What you should definitely taste is a vegetarian Flammkuchen with gorgonzola, pear and shredded red cabbage.  If you prefer something lighter, I would recommend muesli with nuts, yogurt and blueberries.

Bullys Bakery is located in the heart of Neukoln and is steeped in the atmosphere of the area. Simple interior, chairs outside, so you can seet in a sun and an excellent coffee. You can also learn how to knead dough, step by step, as it’s paintedon walls.

Another good thing about the place is, that there’s a wifi (not that popular around Berlin’s cafes). I’ve been sitting there for a couple of last days with my laptop and a cup of coffee and I felt great. You will as well.

And I have a good news – I found an apartment, so I can breath again.

Bullys Bakery, Friedelstraße 7, Neukölln, Berlin

So I hope Bully’s is close to your new apartment. And I love a cafe that puts art on the coffee. Makes it feel special. Went to a dessert bar in Charleston, SC here in the US while we were on vacation this weekend that I wish were around the corner from my home. Will write about it later in the week, hopefully.Sharon

unfortunately it’s not. But only 15 min by bike, so I can visit it from time to time 🙂

This place looks adorable. I am going to Berlin for the first time in September with three girlfriends and would love some recommendations for places to eat. Cheap cafes for lunch, nice places for lunch or dinner, best coffee and breakfasts… any tips you have to offer would be appreciated!

    • What should I eat for breakfas Reply

Do you know in which are you’ll be staying? Berlin is very big and it would help with tips 🙂

    • What should I eat for breakfas Reply

Powodzenie będzie potrzebne bo mam zbyt wiele pomysłów i za małą przestrzeń na wykorzystanie wszystkich. Do tego stopnia szaleję, że T. kazał mi się wstrzymać do jego powrotu, hahaha.

Congrats on finding an apartment! That must be a relief. This looks like a terrific place. I’ve never eaten a Flammkuchen, though I’ve certainly had plenty of pizza (although similar, there are important differences). Love the picture of Bully. Fun post – thanks.

    • What should I eat for breakfas Reply

It was my first Flammkuchen and I was surprised. I expected a pizza dough and it was different. And the mix of flavors – pearl, gorgonzola and red cabbage was great.

YAY! So glad you found a place 🙂 This cafe looks like a real gem, and with wifi, I know where I’d be too!

It is so difficult to find a nice place in Berlin and with wi-fi it’s ridicules. And thank you, I hope I’ll find some amazing places in my area as well 🙂

I love the paintings of how to roll dough on the wall. Any where that has wifi, wins me over. Most places charge a fortune to use the internet.

    • What should I eat for breakfas Reply

I totally agree with wifi and I like the paintings as well 🙂 I was sitting there for some time and found myself studying it step after step.

Nowadays wifi should be everywhere. It would be so easy to have possibility to work from any place.

Apartment hunting can be such a hassle. Those muffins look gorgeous–this seems like just the kind of cafe I’d like. Is that kind of like a breakfast pizza?

    • What should I eat for breakfas Reply

it is more delicate, something between a pizza dough and a french cake. The flavor was very interesting as well.

Hurrah for the apartment!! I’m still upset that I had a wretched cold and couldn’t taste anything when I went to Germany in 2010. One day I’ll return and have gorgonzola for breakfast 😀

    • What should I eat for breakfas Reply

yeah! you should definitely come back. Berlin is amazing! And it changes all the time so most probably you won’t recognize it, hahaha.

Thank you Rooth. In Berlin this kind of interior is quite popular and I love it. In Amsterdam it was totally different.
