We went to Chipps in Mitte as I heard many good opinions about this place. Plus on weekends they serve breakfasts till 5 pm, so however you’re feeling on a Saturday/Sunday day, you’ll manage to eat a proper breakfast, even if it won’t be possible to get there at a breakfast time.

I ordered my coffee, which came with a pot of water with fresh leaves of mint, I like  this kind of small things. I also love names of meals – The morning after, Bed head or Walk of shame (most probably some of you had a quick vision from the past while reading the last one, I had ;). I took Lumber Jack as I love french toasts and bacon, especially when they go together. It was a bit of disappointment as my french toasts were made from a toast bread, and I pictured a nice slice of brioche. But still, it was good. Mr T. took waffles called “Sleep Walker” and these were delicious.

The place is nice to be in, modern with minimalist interior, jet comfortable and quite cosy. We took a table  indoor,  just in a corner and we were thinking it must be nice to sit there having a breakfast in the winter, as the windows are huge. Also thanks to an open kitchen you can observe the whole process of cooking and you also see delicious ingredients. I must also mention that we had the nicest waiter, serving us with a big smile, and this is definitely what I like.

Chipps, Jägerstr. 35, 10117 Berlin

This is a gorgeous post Marta. Beautiful architecture, gorgeous photos and lovely waffles. Sorry to hear that you were a little disappointed with the french toast. Ah, I hate it when things don’t quite meet expectations! I hope it was still delicious xx
