For the past few weeks I was trying to feel like a visitor in Berlin (I’m trying to avoid word “tourist” here). I was trying to see this city for the very first time again. One day I went on a turkish market, sat next to the river to listen to a music and then a time for coffee came. And there is a great place in area with tasty coffee and few interesting options to eat – Kaffeebar. They also have a nice selection of breakfasts. You can have a slice of banana bread (with many bananas inside from what I saw) or french breakfast or eggs Benedict. I had the last one and it was delicious, definitely something to order. I also tried panini with pesto, mozzarella and tomatoes and it was another great choice. I assume that everything is as delicious as two meals I took.

But as always, it’s not only about food and coffee (ok, good coffee is a must!). People create the place and people who work in Kaffeebar are friendly and helpful. I also love minimalistic interior, scratched walls, typical for Berlin old furnitures and wood. In a back room there’s a perfect sit on a platform with many cushions, just next to the window. A perfect spot to relax with a good book. I usually take my ipod with me wherever I go, but here I turned it off. Their selection of music goes well with a spot.

Cool place to have a coffee… seems reasonably priced too… €1.50 for a cookie down there? That would be at least €3 here!

Those panini do look awfully good. Pesto, tomatoes and mozzarella are great together.
