There are two things I love – good food and good places. It’s the best when it goes together and I’m happy to tell you that there is a place like it in Berlin – Markt Halle Neun. Each Thursday you can have a good bite on Street Food Thursday that I mentioned some time ago on my Facebook.

You can taste great food from all over the world over there, prepared by young, talented chefs who want to share their ideas with you. Portions are not too big, so you have a chance to try more than one dish. For me it’s a place full of inspirations and a good idea for a Thursday dinner. I think that a half of Berlin agrees with me, because each Thursday this place is full, lines become long and food disappears. So remember, come closer to 5 pm than 10 pm.

So what do you like? Mac and cheese, smoked fish, freshly roasted pork or thai salad? You can choose between deserts as well – healthy version of waffles, apple crumble, cupcakes and so much more… When you start to feel full, grab a glass of wine or a cup of local beer and relax for few minutes, listening to a music.

Markt Halle Neun has an interesting interior. It’s a huge building with partly glass roof and many big wooden tables to sit and relax by. Place is children friendly as well, so parents with children are very welcome. Mum and dad can eat and children will play in a playground. Also there’s more, as there are other events too, like a sweet market organized two weeks ago on Sunday. I am a sweet tooth so I had tons of macaroons, cheesecakes, cupcakes and I strongly believe that I put on like 2 kg.

So if you’re in Berlin, check out what’s going on in Markt Halle Neun and go there very hungry.

What an amazing post. Your photography is amazing Marta. I’ve wanted to go to Berlin for so long…. my husband spent a few months in Germany a couple of years before we got married and he thinks it’s one of the most beautiful countries in the world. We plan to visit… hopefully next year if finance comes together. I’ve bookmarked this post as a reminder for when we do visit! Thanks so much xx
