I’ve spent last week in Berlin, running around the city and looking for an apartment. It was accompanied by a perfect, sunny weather and some great people. In the end I have no idea how, but I’ve reached my goal.

Berlin is a new place for me, and with small steps I discover it every day. What I felt in love with the first day, were numerous small cafes and restaurant, so cosy and unique, that I wanted to stay there forever. The nice and unexpected thing is, that prices are quite reasonable (after 2 years in Amsterdam I’d say “Yeah, now I can eat!”) and food simply amazing.

One of this great places is Milch Halle Berlin, which charmed me and I ended up eating there twice. The interior of the cafe is minimalistic, yet still very cosy. Big table in the middle, where you can work comfortably, and just next to it a pile of pillows, for ones who prefer more comfort. During my week in Berlin it was exceptionally sunny, so they’ve opened a glass door on a side and placed there some chairs for people to enjoy a cup of coffee in the sun rays.

However, the best thing about the place are the people who work there. They welcomed me with a huge smile and friendly word. Man, I love this cafe! It was so nice to say “hi” over there.

As the name indicates, there are some meals prepared with an addition of milk. It’s not always the case though. For a breakfast you can get a nice milk rice with fruits or a cous-cous salad served in a nice jar. You can always take it away, with a jar, if you leave a 2 euro deposit (much nicer salution than a plastic container). And there is more – brewed coffee, delicious, freshly squeezed juices and anything else, that can make your morning special.

I definitely recommend this place. Marta

Me too, and it suits the interior as well.

This place sounds really nice – I really like the fact that you can takeaway in a glass container instead of nasty plastic throwaway rubbish.I only went to Germany once before, a small place called Wolfenbüttel to visit a friend and I’ve often thought about taking another trip there (Germany, I mean, not the small town). Not sure which places to go to though – any recommendations?

Nice review. I’ve only visited Berlin once, and then only briefly, but it’s a great city. This sounds like a terrific place to have breakfast. It’s always fun to discover new places, isn’t it?
