Eat Berlin – Thai Food in Preußenpark

On Thursday we went on Street Food Thursday again. While eating and hanging out with friends, someone mentioned a park in Berlin, where Thai community living in Berlin meets on weekends and makes amazing food. I came back home, googled it and made a plan to go there on Sunday. The park they were talking about is Preußenpark. If you get there by U-Bahn and get out at Fehrbelliner Platz station, you can walk around a flea market and then move to Thai picnic area. If you get out at Konstanzer Straße station, it will be like 2 minutes walk and you’ll get there by following people with delicious Thai snack in hand.

Last Sunday we tasted fried spinach in dough, papaya salad, banana fritters, fish and delicious soup with rice noodles. When our stomachs were full, we had a citrus cocktail and sweet sticky rice. Then we had to lay on a grass and digest for a while, but it was worth it. If you find yourself in the area of Preußenpark on Saturday or Sunday, check this out. If not, just go there.

I’m so jealous… we don’t have such a thing in France… at least not to the best of my knowledge. Berlin you say… maybe I might have to plan a trip out there 🙂

I never knew there was such a burgeoning Thai community in Berlin – how awesome is that?! And hello to all that amazing street food. So many flavours. That would have made a fun day in the park – good food and a full belly.

  • So many nice things to discover!
