Sometimes it’s too early in life to do things. Filo dough is one of them. I love it and I do not feel like making it.
This is fast, easy, delicious and you do not stop after the first portion. Did I introduce it right? I prepare a lot of food in my kitchen. I bake, freeze, mix, let it grow, I love to experiment. But sometimes it’s too early in life to do things. Filo dough is one of them. I love it and I do not feel like making it. At the same time I really want to eat it. This recipe is almost too good to be true. It will go well for your breakfast, snack, dinner, picnic, you can choose.
YOU WILL NEED:
- filo dough
- 200g sour cream
- ½ red onion, chopped
- 2 tbsp dill, chopped
- pinch of salt and pepper
- squeeze of lemon juice
- 100g smoked salmon
Place sour cream, chopped onion, chopped dill, salt, pepper and a squeeze of lemon juice in a bowl and mix. Add the salmon, torn in small pieces and mix a bit again.
Cut filo pastry into 9 squares, push each one to a muffin hole and divide the salmon mix between them.
Bake in 170*C for about 15 minutes.
Best, Marta

thank you for the tip 🙂
This looks wonderful and I love the simplicity of it. I can see using wonton wrappers for this as well as the filo dough. Sounds like a great lunch for the two of us.

it is fast and delicious, which is awesome for me 😀
I have never purchased frozen philo dough…but for this recipe I will do so! Sounds so easy and delish! Thanks Marta. xo

I bought it for a recipe I had to cook and then fell in love with possibilities 😀
Jak to pięknie wygląda. Mini miseczki z ciasta są rewelacyjnym pomysłem. Świetnie wyglądają i nie trzeba zmywać. :*

ten brak zmywania to zawsze najfajniejszy punkt programu 😀
I’m not the biggest fan of philo dough, the few times I ate it, felt like it tasted funny, weird. But these look juts soooooo perfect, for a Saturday night dinner, where we like to eat nibbles and assorted fun food. And well, we all love salmon here, so it’s sure to be a winner eheh

hahaha, it is a cool description of the filo dough.
For anyone planning to visit Crete – in Rethymno (Emmanouil Vernardou St. 28 or 30) you will find a local traditional filo factory, run by an extremely friendly Greek family. There you can see how they do it (the dough ‘in the process’ looks just unbelievable 😉 ) and you can taste the freshest filo sweets ever.
