Life is full of surprises. The one for me has started two days ago with little Lola singing in the middle of the night. She’s the sweetest cat, but the time to become a lady cat came and she does what she’s most probably supposed to do – she’s getting crazy. She sings whole nights, what equals with me not sleeping at all. Well, I’ll survive, but just in case I bought earplugs.
After a long night, an early morning came. We were a bit tired, but we didn’t want to spoil a beautiful day. So I made a refreshing breakfast out of fruits and mozzarella. Good for people with female cats, with a hangover and not only.
You will need:
- 3 tbsp bread crumbs
- 1 tsp flour
- 1 tsp parmesan
- pinch of salt and pepper
- 1 egg
- 1 apple
- 1 pear
- 1 mozzarella ball
- olive oil for frying
- mint leaves
- balsamic vinegar (I used thick balsamic sauce)
First cut an apple and pear in thin slices. Heat a frying pan with a tablespoon of oil and fry each slice for about 1 minute on each side. Set aside.
Mix bread crumbs with a flour, parmesan, salt and pepper in one plate and in the other lightly beat an egg.
Cut mozzarella in slices.
Pour 1 more tablespoon of an oil on a frying pan, than cover each slice of mozzarella with an egg, then with bread crumbs mix and fry on each side for about 2-3 minutes.
To serve it place apple slice on pear slice, then mozzarella, mint leaves, few drops of balsamic vinegar and repeat again. Looks funny and tastes amazing.
Enjoy, Marta.
I’d poorly function on lack of sleep — these layers of decadence looks so tempting!
Oh no! It is so frustrating when cats do this! Our cat, Cricket, meowed throughout the night again and again. Eventually, she stopped. Thank goodness. And now we have Lucy to keep us up at night 😉 This fried apple with pear and mozzarella looks HEAVENLY. Thank you for sharing!
I’m not one who can miss sleep and function well the next day. Much less make this wonderful dish! This is fabulous — thanks.
Beautiful. I love what you have done with this…
What a delicious combination!
What a beautiful pear dish!
I recently started following you — your work is so beautiful and inspiring. I always look forward to finding you in my inbox!
A heavenly combination! Delicious and beautiful.Cheers,Rosa
WOW! What a breakfast to throw together after no sleep. It’s beautiful and almost too beautiful to eat! I know about the cat singing in the night. My cat comes and goes through the cat door all night and every time he comes back in the house, he sings to us. We have started to get use to it. So good luck!
I don’t do well on little sleep! Lovely looking breakfast Marta 🙂
What a glorious breakfast to wake up to! Beautiful clicks!
