Fruit Rolls

Children change our live. It is just different.

I hope you don’t mind me being boring about motherhood and the sweetest little creature I know – Mia. This is what I do lately. To be honest this is all I do and everything else seems to be only an addition. I try to go places each day, as I don’t like to stay at home too much. So Mia’s been in many cafes and one restaurant. In cafes it’s fun, she mostly sleeps in a stroller or on me in a carrier. I can have my coffee and enjoy chat with a friend. But there are unexpected events like Mia not being happy. Once I can swear it looked like people moved from my part of cafe to another one 😀 This lady knows how to use her lungs for screaming. But when I hug her, start to laugh and tell her that she’s a drama queen, she gives me this beautiful smile and we’re all fine.

Children change our live. It is just different. I don’t remember how it was to get up and not to think about Mia, not to check how long it was from the last feeding or to think twice before eating something, as it doesn’t have to be good for her (bye bye milk, yogurt and spicy food). There are difficult nights from time to time and in the morning I don’t remember what my name is and make coffee to remind myself. But then I go somewhere and I want to show her around, this is how proud I am to be her mom. This girl is my heart and I can’t imagine the world without her eyes and smile. I can’t wait to cook with her and for her. And I can’t wait to develop my first recipe with her help. Or her honest words when she doesn’t like something. You all will hear about it 🙂

And I feel like I live in a dream, all because I don’t sleep that much and I wake up quiet often. I have troubles with concentration, I forget words from time to time, I look like someone who didn’t sleep for over a month (yep) but I’m happy. And what is more important?

Today lets make a fast and simple breakfast, perfect for parents with newborn’s. You choose your favourite fruits, add coconut flakes, maybe nuts or raisins, some delicious spices or maca and fold it into a rice paper. For a sauce you can choose yogurt with a lemon juice or even go for plain one.

Enjoy, Marta
