When I was a child I was addicted to Nutella for breakfast. I loved it on a bread or on a spoon, straight from the jar. Time passed and I’m not a big fan of a chocolate breakfast, I prefer porridge or granola, but… but I’m a happy “owner” of a chocolate addicted husband. He loves it, I love him, so I’ve made a chocolate cream for him.
You will need:
- ¾ cup of hazelnuts
- ¾ cup of sweetened condensed milk
- 90g of dark chocolate
- 3 tbsp of maple syrup
Fry the hazelnuts in a pan or in oven (heated to 180C), stirring from time to time. Peel the brown skin – will be easier to do so after frying – wrap them in a paper towel and rub. Cool them down and put into the blender and mix until it becomes smooth and oily liquid.
In a pot with thick bottom place condensed milk, chocolate and the maple syrup and heat on a low fire until all ingredients will combine. When it’s still warm, connect with nuts. You can do so in blender or in a bowl as I did. You’re cream is ready, so move it into a jar and enjoy with a slice of fresh bread.
Enjoy, Marta

It’s a winner!
I discovered maple syrup is quite expensive in Poland. Shame.
