What is a pure happiness for you? For me it’s when I get up at 6 am and leave my place in shorts and T-shirt. I buy a perfect cup of coffee from a friendly barrister who has a small chat with me and then I sit on a beach and watch sunrise. I am not by myself, it’s 6:30 am but beach is full of people running, exercising, playing rugby, doing yoga, surfing, swimming or simply sitting as I am. Maybe it’s because of a view, colours on the sky or the feeling that I am back in the best city in the world (subjective opinion), but each morning I laugh at loud, as I am simply happy.
I left Sydney 5 years ago and during the period of being away I used to tell people that for me it’s the best city in the world. But as time kept passing I was afraid that I’ve created an unique but fake picture. We have tendency to forget things, to make it look and sound better with time that it actually was. But you know what, I wasn’t wrong, it is a perfect piece of the world.
I enjoy each minute of being here, I discover the city piece by piece. And there’s so much to discover. If you don’t know Sydney, there’s a nice website of my friend Magda – Daily Dose of Sydney, where she uploads one picture per day. It’s a pleasant thing to get to know a place through someone’s eye, especially when this someone takes great pictures. And if you’re curious how I am enjoying Sydney, check out my travel blog.
You will need:
- 1 banana
- juice from 2 blood oranges
- ½ mango
- 1 cup soy milk
Place everything in a blender and you know what to do ;).
Enjoy, Marta.
I made a mango orange banana smoothie today and it was delicious but not NEARLY as photogenic as this!!! Super gorgeous. I put in a whole orange instead of juicing it, but blood orange juice sounds so delicious 🙂
I just love the way you start your day!
Mine starts with driving the kids to school and we all enjoy watching the world comes to life as the sun goes up.
I love smoothies and the color of yours is breath taking..it is like liquid sunshine

Thank you for a sweet comment 🙂 I think that starting a day with your kids, even in a car must be awesome 🙂 Hopefully I’ll be able to have the same experience one day.
Great flavors! And you’re visiting a place that I’ve always wanted to visit. Enjoy!
Looks lovely!
And the glasses are beautiful- where did you get them?

Thank you Julia. I bought this glasses in a Super Store in Berlin.
Wow! The combination of the mango, blood orange, and banana sound and look amazing. thanks for sharing!
Hab´s gerade gemacht und es ist LECKER!!! 😀
That sounds like my perfect morning too. Unfortunately, going to the beach (in shorts) is only limited to a few days a year here in the Netherlands. But those few times, I enjoy it even more of course.
This smoothie looks perfect: I love the addition of blood orange and can’t wait to find out how that tastes in a smoothie.
Mango smoothies are my favorite, this looks delicious!
You have a wonderful way of writing. I’ve always wanted to visit Sydney. Maybe someday. In the meantime, this post is making me regret not taking advantage of the mango sale at the store this week. I picked a few up and put them back down. Inexpensive organic mangoes are hard to come by. Nice post!
Your smoothie looks wonderful. Sydney is one of the cities I’ve always wanted to visit… I’m glad it’s just as you remember it 🙂
Marta, it feels like dawn to me, reading your early morning story! quick glance out of the window and I’m back, going to sleep :)))))))
really envy your trip,

Perfect way to start the week! Thanks Marta!
Your ideal morning sounds a lot like mine. I knew it would. Such beauty here, Marta. Just like you.

Sounds like the perfect smoothie to watch the sunrise!
A perfect start to the day I must say. It’s as refreshing as the rising sun. Nothing like the first golden rays and a glass of this delicious concoction in the hand.
