Waffles may make your day so much better.
I made waffles, which got “Mia approved” within the first bite. How cool is this! She loved the raspberry sauce as well and each small piece of her waffle got a swim in it before ending in her mouth.
Here comes another truth about motherhood – you want to make your kid super happy, but also, you want it to be easier than difficult. These waffles are your tool.
Here’s another truth – you want to make things not only for your kid, but for yourself as well. Yet again, this waffles are your tool.
I loved them. I made quite a few tries and goshhhhhhhhhh… I prepared a raspberry sauce for Mia and a matcha cream for us/me really. It made me feel kind of special, as I did not concentrate on Mia only… She loved it, I loved it, Tomasz loved it, I hope you’ll love it as well.
The big thank you goes to The healthy Maven, where I found the original recipe.
You will need for waffles:
- 1 cup oat flour
- 1 tbsp coconut flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- pinch of salt
- 1 banana, smashed
- 1 egg
- ½ cup almond milk
- ½ cup raspberries (frozen or fresh)
Place all the ingredients, except for the raspberries, in a bowl and mix it well. Then mix in the raspberries. Make your waffles just like your machine tells you to do it.
For matcha cream:
- 1 cup creme fraiche
- 2 tsp matcha
- 1 tsp honey
Place creme fraiche in a bowl and start to mix it with your mixer. Add honey and matcha powder.
For raspberry sauce:
- 1 cup raspberries
- ½ cup almond milk
- 1 tsp honey
Blend everything in a blender.
For serving:
- fruits
- nuts
- coconut flakes
- honey
Enjoy, Marta

Thank you so much!
Another over the top breakfast Marta! Raspberry Sauce AND matcha cream? And those waffles look like the crispy kind – just like I love them. Talk about a way to a man’s heart as well as a little girl’s. 🙂

Thank you so much! I won Tomasz’ heart for sure hahahaa. Ok, Mia’s as well.
Looks so delicious! And that matcha cream?! LIFE 😀
-
The matcha cream was my favourite part 😀
These look so delicious, Marta! I love that they are something you can all enjoy, rather than having “baby food” and “adult food”. That picture of Mia reaching over her plate is the sweetest thing!

Christine, thank you. Mia is so good with food, especially when it’s sweet. I hope she will eat everything I like 😀 For now it’s not always so easy.
Thank you for sharing! Do you think it will be ok if I replace a banana for an additional egg? I know it’s annoying when people start changing your recipe and asking your opinion about the result 😉
-
sure, why not 🙂
I have to say, the raspberry sauce looks like something I would loooove on whatever kind of cake. Could I make it with any other milk? I cannot stand almond milk, would it work with regular cow’s milk, you think?
