It made my day. I had eaten baked oatmeal before, but never as good as this one. I mixed oats with roasted strawberries and bananas, it had an influence on a taste. Hazelnut milk and coconut milk helped as well. But I think that a chai tea made the trick. I found an original recipe on Family Fresh Cooking blog and I must tell you that it is a family recipe. But with this quantity I am glad that my family contains only 2 people. Thanks to it I did not have to share it 😀 If I’ll ever make it for more people, I’ll double or triple the ingredients. It was that good.
You will need:
- 2 bananas
- 1 handful strawberries
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 4 cups hazelnut milk
- 1 cup coconut milk
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 4 bags of chai tea
- 3 cups oats
- pinch of salt
- 1 tsp baking powder
- ¼ cup roasted almonds
- ¼ cup raisins
Slice bananas and strawberries, place it on a baking paper, pour the olive oil over it and bake in 185*C for about 30 minutes.
In a pot bring hazelnut milk, coconut milk and a cinnamon stick to boil. When ready place chai tea bags inside for about 10 minutes. Squeeze bags well, remove it with a cinnamon stick from milk. In a big bowl mix fruits with few tablespoons of hot milk mix, so it will become a paste. Add oats, baking powder, salt, the rest of milk mix and combine.
Place it in a baking form greased with an oil. Bake in 175*C for about 45 minutes. Serve with roasted almonds, raisins and a bit of the hazelnut milk on a bottom.
Enjoy, Marta
I am just waiting for the weather to cool down to make it. Looks delish!

Hi Marta, that looks like a very wholesome breakfast indeed – full of flavour! Were those oats just “regular” oats? They look enormous!
