Sometimes it’s just easier to grab a puff pastry from the store and put something on a top of it. It’s fast, you don’t have to play in making dough and effect may surprise you. Try out this recipe, you’ll love it.
What you need:
- 2 tablespoons of butter
- 4 shallots
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1 teaspoon chopped thyme
- 20g chopped walnuts
- puff pastry
- blue cheese
- salt and pepper
Melt the butter in a pan and add chopped onions, garlic and thyme. Cook over a medium heat until soft and golden (10-15 minutes). Stir in the walnuts and leave it to cool.
Cut out three squares around 10cmx10cm and fold the edges. Transfer the pastry on a baking sheet, divide the onion mixture between the squares (leave the borders empty), scatter over the blue cheese.
Bake in 220C for 12-15 minutes.
Enjoy, Marta
