Halloween is behind the corner. We will prepare all this amazing pumpkin monsters, so we also need to find a nice and tasty way to use all the eatable part. I’ve made some delicious pumpkin crepes some time ago, definitely worth trying. Today it’s a porridge day, because Sunday is after Saturday night and too much of effort is too much.
You will need:
- 1 cup oats
- ½ cup milk or soy milk
- 2/3 cup water
- pinch of salt
- 2 tbsp maple syrup
- ¼ tsp pumpkin pie spice
- ½ cup steamed pumpkin
Steam the pumpkin and then smash it with a fork and mix with spices. In a pot connect oats, water, milk, salt and maple syrup and mix it. Add pumpkin and cook on a low heat for few minutes, until it will start to boil.
You can pour some milk, yogurt or cream over. Plus top with a bit of pumpkin.
