Pretty Pink for a Breakfast

So delicious and so pink. Plus it has a beetroot inside!

I think I have the best kid in the whole world! This is what each mother things, but it’s so true! It doesn’t mean that I’m not frustrated, exhausted and scared of the next day from time to time. I was editing pictures from Thailand as I wrote a post about our travel and I was looking at Mia chasing cats and making friends with everyone she met. How cool is that! I used to be like this, maybe except for chasing cats. But time made me more conscious and unfortunately I’m not that trustful anymore. When I observe Mia I want to change it straight away. It gives you kind of a freedom and bring balance.

We have a few things going on over here. The biggest one is a change of Mia’s kindergarten. She used to go to one 30 minutes away from our place and it may sound like not that far, but we found one 3 minutes away. In Germany they really take it seriously, which is highly appreciated, as my kid will not go through a drama when I leave her in a new place with unknown people, but it is a bit of pain for a parent. This week I have a blast from a past and I spend hours in a kindergarten with Mia. We play, sing songs and I have time to listen to audiobooks. This is an advantage. You should see a reaction of Mia when another kid took over her stroller toy, men, how is it even possible that they can’t talk but they scream at each other. She took it back and it wasn’t pretty. It’s funny to observe it. But it also means that I have just a few hours during a daylight to shoot. Usually in the evening when Tomasz takes her over or in the afternoon when she has a nap. Then I sit at night and work some more. But the truth is, that I’m a bit tired, so it’s not as productive as it should be. Still, I appreciate that my kid is happy and sometimes when I want to be a little bit of an egoist, I can’t, as there are rules in a country I live in and they really want children to be chilled.

Yesterday Tomasz took Mia for a stroll and I made the pretty pink bowl again. I love the colour. It was the second time, as I improved it a bit. When I started to shoot, they came back home. I can tell you that it must be good, as my chilled love it! This is a nice complement, when kids eat the food you made. I have a bit easier situation as Mia is a foodie, but still, I’m flattered.

Recipe

You will need (for 2):

  • 1 banana
  • 2 cups frozen strawberries
  • 1 beetroot, cooked
  • 1 tbsp agave syrup
  • 1 tbsp maca
  • juice from ½ lemon
  • 2 tbsp cashews nuts
Place everything in a blender and blend it well. It will be pretty thick and it should be like it. Serve with fresh fruits.

Best, Marta

Oh what we can learn from kids. 🙂 I can’t believe that Mia is already starting kindergarten. She is gorgeous! And so is this breakfast! What a lovely color and presentation. How do you find the time?

I can hardly find it. It is crazy how much my life has changed. And yes she grows so fast. We just left a hospital and now she’s in the kindergarten… definitely too fast!
