I’ve officially decided that this is my sandwich of the week. It’s so different in so many ways. I actually think it’s like having dinner between the slices of a bread.
You will need
For a sauce:
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- ½ cup ketchup
- pinch of powdered paprika
- 1 tsp horseradish
- 3 tbsp grated onion
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- ½ teaspoon celery seed
- salt and pepper
For sandwich:
- rye bread slices
- swiss cheese slices
- sauerkraut, well drained
- thinly sliced deli corned beef
- softened butter
To prepare the sauce just mix all the ingredients in a bowl. It’s quite easy to make this sandwich. Spread the sauce over one side of each slice, put some cheese on both, then on one slice put some meat and sauerkraut. Close the sandwich. Butter top and bottom of it and transport it on a heated frying pan (fry it over a small heat). You can cover the pan, so the cheese will melt. Fry both sides until golden.
