Do you have these days from time to time, when you prepare a breakfast while your partner walks around you
Do you have these days from time to time, when you prepare a breakfast while your partner walks around you and asks each 5 seconds if he can eat it already? Well, I had a morning like this today and I have to admit that I wasn’t surprised. Figs were so ripe and delicious that I ate few pieces while I was making the sandwiches 😉 The recipe is very simple, fast and worth trying out. Take an advantage of fresh figs in stores and crunch something sweet in the morning!
You will need:
- bread, sliced
- ricotta cheese
- figs
- honey
- rosemary (fresh)
Spread the cheese over the bread, pour over some honey, sprinkle with rosemary and finally place the pieces of figs on a top. Characteristic taste of the rosemary goes very well with this sweat sandwich.
Enjoy, Marta

Thank you Karen!
Figs are rare at my place and even if I can find them, the price can be steep. I would love try out your recipe and getting rosemary is problem because they seems to be growing perfectly great in my garden.
-
Lucky you with a rosemary and I’m sorry about figs. It’s so delicious. In Berlin you can find it for a good price right now 🙂

Such a pretty sandwich! I love the combo of figs and cheese, but don’t think I’ve ever put them together in a sandwich. Really good stuff. I should make this, just so I can ask myself midway through making it if I can eat it already! 😉 Fun post – thanks.
-
