Fish is great, I love it for lunch or dinner. Thanks to cans, it’s also possible to make a quick breakfast out of it. I remember when I’ve realized what’s the size of a tuna. I was shocked. A few days ago I’ve found a great recipe for sardines. It is so easy, that I just had to try it.
You will need:
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 garlic clove, chopped
- ½ red chili, deseeded and chopped
- ½ lemon, zest and juice
- can of sardines in sunflower oil(120g), drained
- 2 slices brown bread
- 1 tbsp parsley, chopped
Heat the oil on a frying pan, add the garlic, chili and the lemon zest. Add the sardines and heat it for a few minutes. On the end add the parsley and squeeze in the lemon juice.
Tastes best with the toasted brown bread.
Enjoy, Marta

Ah. Just found a recipe for sardines on bread in this book, ‘French Feasts’ which has sardines, scallions, red radishes, shallot, sun-dried tomatoes, and dill with yellow pepper.Btw I like breakfast ideas so I will return.
