Hopefully I will manage to visit tulip fields each season.
For the past years we somehow ended up in between tulip fields. Surprisingly, I’ve never visited them while I have been living in The Netherlands, instead I saw many in Germany. Two years ago we stopped at one on our way back from the Star Trek Convention (yep, this is what I do in my spare time) and I remember thinking that this is one of the most amazing and positive places ever. There was a period of my life when I always had tulips at home. Till I got Rysiu and Lola and discovered that their favourite game is to sneak and eat my tulips. Since this snack is toxic for cats and there was no way of keeping them away from the flowers, this beautiful time ended. We have other flowers around and plants which do not affect my cats and if, only in a good way (not the best scenario for plants though).
Being in between flower fields makes me happy, the beauty of the nature inspires me. I was observing Mia, who was running along the rows and you could see how happy she was, how free and how much she appreciated the beauty and smell.
This year it is a bit of a different story. We finally made it to The Netherlands at the right time of the year, but due to the global situation we cannot enjoy the fields. This is why I share some shots from the past years, so you see what you can plan for the next tulip season. It is worth it!
