Waffles with Fried Chicken
Heavier but Delicious

Waffles with Fried Chicken

Waffles with fried chicken is a meal you need to try at least once in your life time.

My kid made a huge scene in the morning, that she wants to go to her kindergarten in flip flops. That was it. She was sitting on a floor in her big warm jacket and tried to kick off her shoes. Explanations did not work, she was devastated that we are not cool enough to let her do it. Another thing also happened today – I forgot about a costume party in her kindergarten. Thankfully, she is on a total princess mode and there is this one perfect costume she loves to wear and which each day (Monday-Friday) waits for her in kindergarten. But, obviously, I am on a total guilt trip right now, so I bought her a ballerina costume for her in-house performances. We do have them almost each day.

Going back to my outside of the motherhood life – I made waffles with chicken. Have you ever tried it? It is amazing! There’s a bigger story behind them, but since I am on a guild trip, I’ll spare you all the writing and I’ll just tell you to make them as it works a magic as a comfort food.

Recipe

YOU WILL NEED FOR WAFFLES:

  • 1,5 cups of white wheat flour
  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • pinch of salt

YOU WILL NEED FOR THE CHICKEN:

  • chicken wing
  • panko or paneer
  • 1 egg, bitten
  • bit of flour
  • salt and pepper

ADDITIONALLY:

  • maple syrup
  • butter
Place all the ingredients in a bowl and mix 🙂 Then start to make waffles.

Prepare two plates. Mix panko with a bit of flour in one and beat an egg in the other. Clean the chicken wing, sprinkle some salt and pepper, then cover with the egg and next with panko. Fry over a medium heat, so it is well fried over.

Serve waffles with fried chicken and maple syrup. Add some butter, because everything tastes better with butter 🙂

Enjoy, Marta

Gofrów z kurczakiem jeszcze nie jadłam. Przyznam, że to dla mnie niecodzienne połączenie. Zaintrygowałaś mnie i pewnie to połączenie smaków będzie chodziło za mną do soboty, żeby w końcu je zrobić 🙂

So you are already in the phase where the little one decides the outfits! Getting Avyan ready for school is a scene every morning these days. He wants the same black show every single day and the same blue jacket. Why do I even shop for him, I don’t know!
Waffle and chicken is something I have been meaning to try for a very long time now but somehow not able to really get the concept here. Crispy chicken, crispy waffles, how does it go together and why is it such a fav ? I guess, I should just stop thinking and get on making it 🙂

hahaha, I do not know how it will be. Now I can still convince her, but she is super stubborn. After me I guess, ups. But it makes me relieve that it’s not only happening at my home, than you so much for this comment <3
