Yellow Breakfast

When I get sick, I drink ginger, a lot of ginger.

Today is day three of my rainbow week. Colour yellow will be very healthy. As I spent a lot of time in the snow and rain yesterday, I need something special to make sure that I will not get sick. The other thing that Tomasz got a cold (which means that he almost dies) and he needs it as well. What do you drink when you get sick? I drink ginger, a lot of ginger. I used to peel it and then grate it, but a friend told me abut a nice trick, which makes it all easier and ginger is strong and sweet. Here it goes.

The Recipe

YOU WILL NEED:

  • 1 ginger root
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tbsp sugar or honey
  • juice from ½ lemon
Peel ginger, cut it into pieces and place in a small pot with water and sugar (or honey). Bring water to boil and then boil for a few minutes. Transfer the liquid part to a glass, add lemon juice and more honey if necessary.

Enjoy, Marta

Piję go jak soczek.

Ohhhhhh I never did it like this, now I am gonna do this everytime!! I also drink loads of ginger whenever I’m feeling a cold sneaking up on me – I don’t just drink it, I use it in everything, and one of the things I love the most is finding tiny pieces of ginger in my stews!!

hahahaha, please do, honesty is awesome and you don’t have to like a thing in my recipes, it’s still super cool that you read me. A question – I always leave comments on your blog and I went there ant they are not there. They do not appear to you? I’ll leave one on the last post and will check out later 😀

I have my comments on moderation and sometimes it can take up to 24h for them to appear, but all those I receive from you I post and even reply… I do notice that there’s been a lot of issues with posting comments on several blogs – I have been unable to post on certain favourite blogs and even on my own I have had difficulty doing it, but I tried everything I can to sort it and so far, not much has changed. It is rather annoying that blogspot and other platforms are making this so difficult, I tried changing to another platform but couldn’t make head nor toes of it, so I stayed on with Blogspot.

Rainbow week – Great idea! With all of the colds and flu going around, everyone should be having a rainbow week. Your lovely ginger tea is a great start! And it sounds like something I want right now. I have everything. Thanks! Stay well!

I agree that everyone should have a rainbow week. It’s been only 5 days but I already discovered a thing or two about myself 🙂
